Programming
April 30th, 2009
I consider myself to be a programmer by trade. I work mostly with C (or C++) in a GNU/Linux environment. In addition to C, I’m also familiar with sh and regex (which kind of count).
Here is some stuff:
- I sporatically work on Freetrail, a clone of a popular edutainment program.
- I was a participant in Google’s Summer of Code (2008) working on the Wine Project improving GDI+. The project was a success, and my work resides int the official wine source tree.
- GLC – the Gaim Log Converter
A while back I wrote a script to convert Gaim logs to valid XHTML (back when Pidgin was known as Gaim). It’s written in sed.
- I’ve submitted bug reports and occasionally patches to the Gnome Desktop Environment.
I’m also a fan of beutifully typeset LaTeX documents, and have been known to take LaTeX notes in class in real time. LaTeX is the system I (ab)used to produce well formed power sheets for a roleplaying game.
